Should I send letters of recommendation to CU Boulder?
I’m applying to CU Boulder and I’m trying to figure out whether letters of recommendation actually help or are even considered. My school lets me submit them, but I don’t want to add extra materials if they won’t make a difference.
I mainly want to know if sending letters is worth it for a standard application.

For a standard undergraduate application to CU Boulder, letters of recommendation are generally not required and usually do not play a major role in the review. CU Boulder’s admission process is primarily based on your academic record, course rigor, grades, and the other parts of the application they request. If your school allows you to submit letters, that does not automatically mean CU Boulder expects them for most applicants.
If CU Boulder’s application portal does not ask for recommendations, I would not treat them as necessary for a standard application. In most cases, you are better off making sure your transcript, activities, and any required essay materials are as strong as possible.
