How do I list a summer course on the Common App?

I took an academic summer course outside of my regular high school, and I am not sure where it is supposed to go on the Common App. It was not part of my normal school-year classes, but I did complete it and want colleges to see it.

I am trying to figure out the correct section to list it so my application is accurate and not confusing.

If the summer course appears on your official high school transcript, list it in the Courses & Grades section under the school year it was taken, following exactly how it shows up on the transcript. If your school includes summer coursework as part of the next year or previous year on the transcript, match that format rather than creating your own version.

You can also mention it in the Additional Information section if there is no clean place for it, especially if the course was academically meaningful and you want to clarify what it was, where you took it, and whether you earned credit. Keep that note short and factual.
