For classes, research access, and preparation for internships or grad school, UCSD usually offers more depth and more built-in opportunities.

One big difference is the academic ecosystem around biology. UCSD has multiple well-developed biology pathways, including molecular and cell biology, ecology, neurobiology, microbiology, and related areas, so students usually have more specialized upper-level course options and more faculty working across subfields.
