What should I do after being admitted to Carnegie Mellon?
I was recently admitted to Carnegie Mellon and I want to make sure I handle the post-admission process correctly. I understand there are things like accepting the offer, reviewing financial aid, and preparing for enrollment, but I am not sure what the usual next steps are or what order to do them in.
I am trying to make a simple checklist so I do not miss anything important.

Start with the admitted student portal and read every item there carefully.
Your basic checklist should be: compare your offer, review financial aid, visit if possible, decide by the reply deadline, and then complete all enrollment forms.
If you are still deciding, look closely at your financial aid package and total cost, not just scholarship numbers. Check tuition, housing, meal plan, travel, and personal expenses. If anything is unclear, contact the financial aid office and ask for a breakdown.
Once you decide to attend, submit the enrollment reply form and deposit by the stated deadline.
Then complete practical items in order: housing application, dining selections if required, placement tests, final transcript submission, and health forms including immunization records.
Also look for course registration information, orientation sign-up, and any summer advising steps from your school or department.
If you received aid, complete any remaining verification or loan steps quickly.
