What are the general requirements for transferring to Fordham University?

I'm a high school senior thinking ahead in case I end up wanting to transfer after my first year of college, and I'm trying to understand the basic process at Fordham.

I'm not looking for year-specific deadlines, just the usual materials and academic expectations transfer applicants are generally asked to have.

Fordham’s transfer process usually asks for a fairly standard set of materials. You can generally expect to submit the transfer application, official college transcript(s) from any college you’ve attended, and your high school transcript. If you have completed only a small amount of college coursework by the time you apply, your high school record tends to matter more.

Academically, Fordham generally wants to see strong college performance in courses that show you can handle a rigorous curriculum. A solid college GPA is important.

Fordham will also usually look at the quality of your college classes, not just the GPA. If you are hoping to transfer after your first year, taking core academic courses and doing well in them will help. Good standing at your current college is typically expected, and any disciplinary or academic issues can matter.

If admitted, Fordham will evaluate your prior coursework for transfer credit.
