Is Fordham or Notre Dame a more fun college experience for students?

Neither school is automatically “more fun”; they’re fun in very different ways, and students usually prefer the one that matches how they like to spend ordinary weekdays and weekends. Notre Dame tends to feel more campus-centered, with a very visible school spirit culture, residence hall traditions, football weekends, and a social scene that stays anchored to student life on campus. Fordham, especially Rose Hill, gives you a more city-based experience where a lot of the fun comes from being in New York, going off campus, and building your own routine around the city.

Notre Dame often feels more unified day to day. Students who like a classic residential college atmosphere, packed campus events, close-knit dorm communities, and the sense that “everyone is here together” usually find it very engaging. A lot of social life runs through dorms, clubs, campus programming, and major athletic events, so you do not have to work very hard to find activity.

Fordham fits students who get energy from variety and independence. The draw is not that campus life overwhelms you with tradition every weekend, but that you can combine campus friends with concerts, restaurants, internships, neighborhoods, and spontaneous trips around the Bronx or Manhattan. For some students, that feels much more exciting than a self-contained campus. For others, it can feel less cohesive because the fun is more spread out and depends more on your initiative.

If by “fun” you mean a strong shared social atmosphere where school spirit is a big part of everyday life, Notre Dame probably wins that comparison. If you mean access to a huge city and the freedom to shape your own social life beyond campus, Fordham can easily feel more fun.
