Where can I find Fordham's supplemental essay prompts and how much do they usually change from year to year?

I’m a high school junior trying to plan my college essays early, and Fordham is one of the schools I’m looking at. I keep finding different prompt lists on random websites, so I’m not sure which ones are reliable.

I’m mainly trying to figure out where the official supplemental essay prompts are posted and whether older prompts are still useful for brainstorming.

The most reliable place to find Fordham’s supplemental essay prompts is Fordham’s application page and the Fordham section of the Common App once the new cycle opens. If Fordham is on Coalition or another platform in a given year, the official prompt will appear there too, but the Common App is usually the easiest place to verify the exact wording.

If you want to check before the application opens, Fordham’s undergraduate admissions website sometimes previews essay requirements, but the application platform is the final authority. Random college essay websites can be useful for past prompts, but they are not reliable enough to trust for current wording or required length.

Fordham’s supplements usually do not change dramatically every single year, but they can change enough that you should not draft to an old prompt word for word. Schools often keep the same general themes, such as why this college, academic interests, or community, while adjusting phrasing, word limits, or the number of options.

Older Fordham prompts are definitely useful for brainstorming. They can help you think about topics like why Fordham fits you, how you would use New York City as part of your education, Jesuit values, service, intellectual curiosity, or specific programs and campuses that interest you. Just treat old prompts as idea generators, not final assignments.
