Is MIT academically harder than UT Austin?
I’m a high school senior comparing MIT and UT Austin for engineering. I know the difficulty can vary by major and student, but I’m trying to understand how the overall academic workload and rigor at the two schools generally compare.

That said, “harder” does not automatically mean a better educational outcome for every student. A highly prepared, collaborative student may thrive at MIT, while another student may find UT Austin’s strong engineering programs, large research ecosystem, and somewhat more flexible academic setting a better place to perform at their best.
