BU offers a far more urban experience, with its campus stretching along Commonwealth Avenue in Boston. Its buildings, residence halls, restaurants, shops, and public transit are woven into surrounding neighborhoods, particularly along the Green Line. That creates energy, convenience, and easier spontaneous access to internships, concerts, sports, and city neighborhoods, but it can also make the university feel fragmented: students may have a longer walk or train ride between classes, housing, and social plans.
