What is the campus vibe like at Wesleyan University vs Boston University?

Wesleyan feels much more like a traditional residential college campus, while Boston University feels woven directly into city life. At Wesleyan, most of student life is centered in a compact campus in Middletown with academic buildings, dorms, and social spaces all close together. At BU, the campus stretches along Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, so daily life feels more urban, fast-moving, and less separated from the surrounding city.

One big difference is layout. Wesleyan has the kind of enclosed, walkable setup where you regularly run into the same people and campus boundaries are pretty clear.
