Wesleyan in Middletown has a reputation for being eclectic, politically engaged, and very independent in spirit. Skidmore in Saratoga Springs is also artsy and expressive, but the day-to-day vibe is often described as a little more polished, outdoorsy, and conventionally social.

Wesleyan’s campus culture leans strongly toward students who like discussion-heavy classes, activism, live music, experimental arts, and a certain amount of organized chaos.
