The biggest practical tradeoff is location: Fordham gives you much easier access to in-semester internships because of New York City, while Brandeis offers solid support and Boston-area options but usually with less day-to-day proximity to a huge internship market. If your priority is being able to intern during the academic year without a major commute barrier, Fordham has the edge. Its campuses, especially Lincoln Center and Rose Hill, connect students to finance, media, nonprofits, government, healthcare, and business opportunities across the city.

Brandeis does have meaningful internship access, especially through nearby Boston and Waltham, and it has a strong academic culture with students landing roles in research, healthcare, biotech, public policy, and nonprofits.
