Brandeis or Northeastern for internship opportunities: which is better for students?

For internship opportunities specifically, Northeastern has the clearer built-in advantage. Its co-op system is designed around extended, full-time work experience during college, and that structure gives students a very direct path to employers in Boston and beyond. Brandeis students can absolutely get strong internships too, but the process is usually more self-directed and less central to the school’s academic model.

Northeastern tends to fit students who want career experience woven into college from the start. The biggest difference is not just location, since both schools benefit from proximity to Boston, but how intentionally Northeastern turns that access into a system. Employers are used to hiring Northeastern students for co-ops, and students often graduate with multiple substantial work experiences rather than just a summer or two of internships.
