Which is better for finance: Villanova or Lehigh?

I’m trying to narrow down my college list and both Villanova and Lehigh seem like solid options for finance. I’m more interested in which school is stronger for recruiting, internship access, and overall reputation with employers in finance.

I’m not looking for a ranking based on everything, just which one tends to be the better choice if finance is the main goal.

Villanova has the edge for finance. Its business school is especially well known in the Northeast, finance is one of the school’s most visible career paths, and the alumni network is notably active in placing students into internships and entry-level roles. For a student focused mainly on recruiting access and employer recognition in finance, Villanova tends to open a few more doors.

Another differentiator is proximity and network access. Villanova benefits from being right outside Philadelphia and relatively close to New York, which helps with semester networking, alumni events, and internship opportunities during the school year. Lehigh also places well, especially through its alumni base and strong outcomes in business, but its location in Bethlehem is a bit less naturally connected to major finance hubs.

The last piece is employer reputation within undergraduate business recruiting. Lehigh is a respected school and can absolutely lead to strong finance outcomes, particularly for students who are proactive and perform well. But Villanova’s brand in undergraduate finance is a little more established, and that tends to show up most clearly in Wall Street-oriented recruiting and broad employer familiarity.
