What engineering majors does Tulane offer for undergraduates?
I’m a high school junior looking into Tulane and I’m trying to understand what engineering majors are actually available there. I know some schools have a smaller set of engineering options, so I want to see how broad Tulane’s program is before I dig deeper into the college.
I’m mainly trying to figure out what engineering fields I could study there as an undergrad.

Tulane’s undergraduate engineering options are fairly focused rather than broad. The School of Science and Engineering offers five main engineering majors for undergraduates: biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, and electrical engineering. It does not have a separate mechanical engineering major, which is one of the main limits compared with larger engineering schools.
Biomedical engineering is especially prominent there because of Tulane’s ties to medicine and research in New Orleans. Chemical, civil, computer, and electrical engineering round out the available undergraduate paths.
