What study abroad opportunities does Tulane offer for undergraduates?

I’m a high school student looking at colleges where studying abroad is actually doable, not just something they advertise. Tulane came up a lot, and I’m trying to understand what kinds of undergraduate study abroad options they really have.

I’m especially interested in whether students can study abroad through different programs or majors without it being hard to fit into a normal four-year plan.

Tulane does offer study abroad that is genuinely workable for undergraduates, and students can participate. The university has semester, summer, and some short-term options, and students can go through Tulane-run programs, approved partner programs, or certain external programs that fit their academic plan. For many majors, especially in the liberal arts, social sciences, business, and language-heavy fields, studying abroad can fit into a normal four-year schedule with early planning.

One of the biggest practical advantages at Tulane is that study abroad is built through the Center for Global Education, which helps students choose approved programs and sort out credit transfer before they go. Tulane students can study in a wide range of locations across Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, and options include direct enrollment at foreign universities as well as specialized programs focused on language, public health, business, politics, environmental studies, and culture.

Tulane also has strong flexibility because students are not limited to one model. Some use semester programs, others do summer study abroad, and that can make it easier for students in more structured majors to participate without delaying graduation.
