What common questions are asked in a Tulane alumni interview?

I’m a high school senior getting ready for a Tulane alumni interview, and I’m trying to practice without over-preparing or sounding scripted.

I mainly want to know the kinds of questions that usually come up so I can think through my answers ahead of time.

Common questions include: Tell me about yourself. Why are you interested in Tulane? Why Tulane over other schools you’re considering? What do you want to study, and why? What have been your most meaningful activities in high school? What is something you’re proud of? What challenge have you faced, and how did you handle it?

You may also get questions like: How do you see yourself getting involved at Tulane? What kind of campus community are you looking for? What do you hope to explore outside the classroom?

Some interviewers ask lighter or more personal questions too, such as what you like to do for fun, what books or subjects interest you, or what kind of roommate or classmate you’d be. You should also be ready for follow-up questions based on your application, resume, or anything specific you mention.
