Does Emory offer Early Action, or is it only Early Decision?

I’m a junior starting to plan out my application timeline, and I keep seeing people mention an Emory early action deadline. I’m getting confused about whether Emory actually has Early Action or if their early option is only Early Decision.

I want to make sure I’m using the right application plan name before I organize my list and deadlines.

Emory does not offer Early Action. Its early application options are Early Decision I and Early Decision II, both of which are binding, plus Regular Decision.

Early Decision means that if you are admitted, you are expected to enroll and withdraw applications from other schools, assuming the financial aid package is workable.

So when you organize your list, Emory should go under Early Decision, not Early Action. That distinction matters because Early Action is nonbinding, while Emory’s early plans are not.

If you are interested in Emory but do not want a binding plan, the correct option is Regular Decision.
