Does applying close to the Drexel regular decision deadline hurt your chances?

I'm a senior planning to apply regular decision to Drexel, and I'm trying to figure out whether submitting right before the deadline is viewed differently than submitting earlier.

I know regular decision has a set cutoff, but I'm worried colleges might still prefer applications that come in sooner within that round.

For Drexel Regular Decision, submitting close to the deadline generally does not hurt your chances as long as your application is complete and submitted on time. Regular Decision is a set round, and Drexel does not publicly indicate that it gives an advantage to students who apply earlier within that same RD window.

The main exception is practical rather than strategic: waiting until the last minute increases the risk of technical issues, missing documents, or delays with school counselors and testing agencies.

If your choice is between submitting a weaker application earlier or a stronger, polished application a few days before the deadline, the stronger application is usually the better move.
