How do I apply to Duke Kunshan University as a high school student?

I’m a junior starting to build my college list, and I’m interested in Duke Kunshan because it seems different from a typical U.S. college.

I’m trying to understand the actual application process from a student perspective, especially how it works if I’m applying from high school and not from China.

You apply to Duke Kunshan University as a first-year applicant through the Common Application, much like you would for Duke University. Duke Kunshan enrolls students directly from high school, including applicants from outside China, and the admissions process is run in coordination with Duke. You will submit your academic record, school report, counselor recommendation, teacher recommendations, essays, and any required testing information through the standard application process.

As a high school student outside China, you generally follow the same first-year application path as other international applicants. That means paying attention to transcript requirements, English proficiency requirements if applicable, and financial aid forms if you want need-based aid. Duke Kunshan teaches in English and awards a Duke degree, so the review is academically selective and expects strong coursework.
