What are the best majors at Colorado State University for academics and career outcomes?

I’m a high school junior starting to build my college list, and Colorado State is one of the schools I’m looking at. I keep seeing general rankings, but I’m trying to figure out which majors CSU is actually known for in a way that matters for academics and job prospects.

I’m not locked into one field yet, so I’m looking for a clear sense of the majors that stand out there the most.

At Colorado State, the majors that stand out most for both academic reputation and career outcomes are usually engineering, computer science, business, environmental and natural resource fields, agricultural sciences, and veterinary-related paths.

Engineering is one of CSU’s strongest areas, especially mechanical, civil, electrical, biomedical, and environmental engineering.

Computer science is also a strong option if you want flexibility and clear career outcomes.

Business is a practical strength, especially accounting, finance, supply chain, and marketing.

CSU is especially well known for environmental science, ecology, conservation, forestry, wildlife biology, and natural resources.

Agricultural sciences are another major advantage. Animal science, agricultural business, soil and crop science, and food science are all worth a look.

If you are considering pre-vet or animal-related work, CSU is especially notable because of its veterinary ecosystem and animal science strength.
