What is Colorado State University known for academically?

I’m building my college list and Colorado State keeps coming up, but I’m not totally sure what its strongest academic areas are.

I’m trying to understand what majors or programs CSU is especially known for so I can tell whether it would be a good fit for my interests.

Colorado State University is especially known for programs tied to the environment, animals, agriculture, and applied science.

Some of CSU’s best-known academic strengths include veterinary medicine, animal science, agriculture, environmental science, ecology, forestry, wildlife biology, and natural resources.

CSU is also known for engineering, especially civil, mechanical, environmental, and biomedical-related work, along with atmospheric science and climate research.

Business, health and exercise science, hospitality management, and computer science are also solid areas, though the university’s standout identity is usually more connected to land-grant strengths and research with real-world application.
