Does Dartmouth meet full demonstrated financial need for admitted students?
I’m trying to figure out whether Dartmouth is actually affordable for my family if I were admitted. I keep seeing schools say they “meet full need,” but I’m not sure what that means in practice or whether Dartmouth covers the full demonstrated need it calculates for all admitted students.

Yes.
What matters is that “full need” is based on Dartmouth’s own formula, not necessarily what your family feels it can afford. So even if Dartmouth meets full demonstrated need, your expected family contribution could still feel high depending on income, assets, home equity, business ownership, divorce situations, or other factors.
But the exact package depends on your specific finances.
The best way to judge affordability is to use Dartmouth’s net price calculator. That will give you a much more realistic estimate than the phrase “meets full need” by itself.
