NYU Stern is a dedicated undergraduate business school with a structured business curriculum and an alumni network concentrated in New York City. Its location also makes it practical to pursue part-time or semester-time internships with firms in finance, media, fashion, technology, and professional services.

NYU fits students who want business to be the center of their college experience from the beginning. Stern students can build technical business foundations in areas such as finance, accounting, marketing, and management while being surrounded by classmates pursuing similar paths. The city is a real advantage for students who will actively network, attend employer events, and seek internships early rather than waiting until summer.

UC San Diego can be an excellent route for a student whose business goals intersect with technology, analytics, entrepreneurship, health, science, or engineering. UCSD is especially well positioned in the San Diego innovation ecosystem, and majors such as economics, management science, data-oriented fields, or science and engineering can create a strong foundation for product management, business analytics, biotech, or technology-related roles. The Rady School of Management offers undergraduate business coursework and opportunities, but UCSD does not provide the same all-encompassing undergraduate business-school experience as Stern.
