Is the University of Florida or Northeastern University better for computer science?

That can be especially valuable for a student who learns best by alternating classroom work with real workplace responsibility.

UF’s computer science options, including paths associated with the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, offer the resources of a major research university and a large technical student community. It can be an outstanding choice for students who will actively pursue internships, research with faculty, hackathons, and leadership in computing organizations rather than relying on a formal co-op sequence. For a Florida resident, the financial difference may also be decisive: graduating with far less debt can create more freedom to pursue graduate school, startups, or selective early-career opportunities.
