Seattle places students near major technology employers, and UW’s recruiting, internships, alumni network, and frequent industry interaction are real advantages. The program is also large, technically rigorous, and highly visible to software employers.

That advantage depends on your major status. Computer science at UW is capacity-constrained, and students who are not directly admitted to the major should understand the uncertainty involved in trying to enter it later.
