Which is better for building a journalism career: NYU or Fordham?

For a student seeking the broadest undergraduate journalism infrastructure and industry access, NYU has the edge. Its Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute offers a dedicated journalism curriculum within NYU’s College of Arts and Science, with reporting, writing, audio, video, data, and cultural-criticism pathways. Being in Manhattan also makes semester-long internships, newsroom events, and source-building much more practical while classes are in session.

Students can pursue university publications and connect with faculty and visiting professionals who work across print, digital, broadcast, documentary, and magazine journalism.

Fordham is still a credible route, especially for students drawn to audio and broadcast work.
