Is Stanford or Georgia Tech better for engineering value?

I’m a high school senior deciding between Stanford and Georgia Tech for engineering. I’m trying to compare the overall value of each school, including the quality of the engineering education, career opportunities, and what students get in return for the cost.

Still, those advantages do not guarantee better outcomes; a proactive Georgia Tech student can reach many of the same employers and graduate programs.

Compare the actual four-year net price, not sticker price, including likely annual increases, travel, and debt. Stanford is the better value when its aid brings the price close to Georgia Tech’s or when its specific ecosystem matches your goals strongly enough to justify a substantial difference. If Georgia Tech costs far less, particularly at in-state rates, it is likely the smarter engineering-value choice; graduating with less debt preserves far more flexibility for graduate school, startups, and early-career decisions.
