The commute into the Loop is real, rather than a quick walk from campus, but it is predictable and manageable for a weekly internship or event.

Emory fits a student whose interests align closely with Atlanta’s particular strengths, especially health care, public health, research, business, film and entertainment, logistics, and the nonprofit sector. Emory’s proximity to the CDC, its major health system, and strong ties to Atlanta organizations can create unusually relevant opportunities for pre-med, public health, neuroscience, research, and health-policy students. Goizueta’s connections are also valuable for business-oriented students pursuing Atlanta-based roles.

Emory’s Druid Hills campus is not embedded in downtown Atlanta, and the city is more spread out. Students often use shuttles, rideshares, cars, or public transit connections to reach internships, so taking advantage of the city can require more planning.
