UCSD vs. Emory for a Career Combining Business and Healthcare

Emory is the more direct launch point for a career at the intersection of business and healthcare. Its undergraduate BBA program through Goizueta gives you a structured business education, while Emory’s major academic medical system and Atlanta location create unusually accessible healthcare-facing opportunities. That combination is especially useful for healthcare consulting, provider strategy, and management roles.

At Emory, you can pair the BBA with coursework or experiences connected to public health, health policy, biology, or data. Emory Healthcare, the Rollins School of Public Health, and Atlanta’s concentration of healthcare organizations broaden the range of internships and research settings available during the school year.

UC San Diego has a meaningful advantage for a more technical health-tech or biotech-oriented route.
