Is Tulane or Miami University more fun for student life?
I’m deciding between Tulane and Miami University and care a lot about having an enjoyable college experience outside the classroom. I’m especially interested in the overall campus atmosphere and how easy it is to find things to do and meet people.

Tulane is likely the more fun choice for a student who wants a lively social scene that extends well beyond campus. Its Uptown New Orleans location gives students easy access to live music, restaurants, festivals, sports, and neighborhood events. The atmosphere tends to feel energetic, social, and less insulated from the surrounding city.
Miami University offers a very enjoyable but more traditional residential-college experience. Oxford is a classic college town where student life is concentrated around campus, nearby restaurants and bars, athletics, Greek life, and longstanding school traditions. That can make it especially easy to run into classmates and build a close-knit social routine.
The key difference is variety and setting. Miami’s fun is more campus-centered; Tulane’s includes that campus community but adds the constant options of New Orleans. For someone prioritizing an active atmosphere and plentiful things to do outside class, Tulane has the edge.
