UIUC vs. University of Michigan: Which Has the Stronger Alumni Network?

For a broad, nationally portable alumni network across industries, the University of Michigan has the edge. Michigan’s alumni community is exceptionally large and visible in major business hubs, and its school-specific networks, especially Ross, Engineering, Law, Medicine, and LSA, create active pathways for informational interviews, referrals, and mentoring. The Michigan Alumni Association also supports regional clubs and career-oriented programming that can make the network easier to access after graduation.

Michigan’s advantage is most noticeable outside technical fields.
