Duke vs. Rice for Biomedical Engineering: Which Program Is Better for Undergraduates?

Rice is the more compelling choice for someone who values a smaller, collaborative undergraduate community, highly accessible design facilities, and the chance to tap into Houston’s medical center. For biomedical engineering alone, I would lean Duke for broad clinical-research depth, while Rice is an equally serious option for a student drawn to hands-on design and the Texas Medical Center environment.
