NYU’s core is concentrated around Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, but its buildings are integrated into city blocks and extend into other Manhattan neighborhoods and Brooklyn.

Virginia Tech tends to suit students who want their daily life organized around a recognizable campus. Walking between classes often means passing quads, campus landmarks, dining halls, and large groups of fellow students; some destinations can be a meaningful walk or require campus transit because of the school’s physical scale.
