Metro Transit buses and light rail connect campus to downtown Minneapolis, St. Paul, the airport, and nearby neighborhoods, but students may find the system less comprehensive and less frequent than London’s network.

Minneapolis offers an active arts, music, food, sports, and outdoor scene, including major theaters, museums, lakes, trails, and riverfront parks. It is quite bike-friendly in warmer months, while winter weather materially changes walking and cycling routines. Compared with UCL, the Twin Cities feel less nonstop and more campus-centered, with more room to decompress but fewer attractions immediately outside every academic building.
