The biggest practical difference is scale: UF can offer strong advising and many specialized offices, but students often need to take more initiative in a much larger system; Emory’s smaller undergraduate environment tends to make one-on-one guidance easier to access and more continuous.

At UF, academic advising is primarily organized through each student’s college and major. Students can use degree-audit tools and meet with college advisers for course selection, graduation requirements, major changes, and academic policies.
