A student who imagines weekend hikes, winter ski days, trail running, climbing, paddling, or joining friends for low-key outdoor trips would likely find that culture easy to enter at Middlebury. The seasons are a real part of campus life: fall hiking and foliage, winter snow sports and Nordic skiing, and warmer-weather biking and water activities.
