Northwestern vs. Purdue for Computer Science Careers: Which Is Better for Industry Preparation?

Students seeking the deepest possible menu of traditional engineering activities may find Purdue’s scale more naturally aligned with their goals.

For industry preparation alone, Purdue has a slight edge for a student who wants a conventional, technically immersive CS-to-software-engineering pipeline and a large engineering recruiting ecosystem. Northwestern is the better pick when the Chicago location, smaller academic setting, and ability to pair CS with another serious interest would help you build a more distinctive career direction.
