The practical difference is commute and academic-year flexibility. BC students can reach Boston from Chestnut Hill, but the trip makes a short in-person internship less convenient than it is for an NYU student already in Manhattan. For a student targeting New York-based fields or hoping to intern during multiple semesters, NYU provides a more immediate pipeline; BC can be equally compelling for students drawn to Boston employers and a more traditional campus environment.
