Boston College vs RPI: Which is better for an engineering career?

I’m a high school senior deciding between Boston College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and I’m mainly interested in building a career in engineering after college. I’m trying to understand how the two schools differ in preparing students for engineering jobs, especially through coursework, internships, and recruiting opportunities.

For a student whose central goal is a conventional engineering career and who wants the broadest range of technical majors, recruiting channels, and hands-on engineering infrastructure, RPI is the more direct choice. Boston College makes more sense when the student specifically values its human-centered approach and wants engineering integrated with a broader BC education, rather than the deepest specialization in a traditional engineering discipline.
