Is UGA or Arizona State better for an undergraduate business degree?

I’m a high school senior choosing between the University of Georgia and Arizona State University for business. I’m trying to compare the overall strength and reputation of their undergraduate business programs so I can make an informed decision.

Terry carries especially strong name recognition with employers across Georgia and the Southeast, and its smaller, selective BBA program can create a more cohesive undergraduate business cohort. UGA is particularly well positioned for students targeting finance, accounting, consulting, real estate, marketing, or business analytics careers connected to Atlanta and other Southeastern markets.

Its location in Athens is also a traditional residential college experience, while Atlanta provides access to a major business hub for internships, networking, and post-graduation recruiting.

Arizona State is still a highly credible business choice, and W. P. Carey has a notable advantage for supply chain management, operations, and careers tied to the Phoenix metropolitan area. ASU’s scale can mean more course options, industry programs, and access to a rapidly growing regional economy, though students may need to be more proactive in navigating a much larger university environment.

Cost and residency can materially change the decision. A substantially lower net price at either school can outweigh a modest difference in overall reputation, particularly because both programs can lead to strong business outcomes when paired with internships, strong grades, and active career preparation.
