That setting can make Brown feel integrated with the city but still socially centered on campus. You can easily leave the university bubble for a show, coffee shop, internship, or neighborhood outing, then return to a campus where most student activity remains close together. Boston is also accessible for occasional larger-city plans, but it is not the default backdrop to an ordinary weekday.
