Is Yale generally harder to get into than Pomona College?

Yale offers the resources, course breadth, and research ecosystem of a major university; Pomona offers a smaller undergraduate setting plus access to the wider Claremont Colleges. In broad admissions terms, Yale is the more difficult admit, but Pomona remains an extremely competitive reach where excellent credentials alone do not predict admission.
