For a student who wants support to feel personal, visible, and easy to access day to day, Wake Forest is likely the more natural fit. Its smaller undergraduate community, residential campus, and closer faculty contact can make it easier for students to be known and to notice when they need help.

Wake Forest may suit someone who benefits from regular check-ins, smaller classes, and a campus culture in which professors, advisers, residence-life staff, and peers are more likely to overlap. Students still have to seek help, especially with counseling during busy periods, but the overall structure is more high-touch.

ASU has a far broader menu of support services, including academic advising, tutoring, accessibility services, counseling, career resources, and Student Advocacy and Assistance. It can be an excellent place for a proactive student who is comfortable using online systems, identifying the right office, and taking initiative early. Certain ASU programs and smaller academic communities can also provide a more individualized experience within the larger university.
