The program’s structure, employer recognition, and breadth of national recruiting make it particularly compelling for students willing to spend an extra semester or year completing repeated work rotations. NC State can be equally compelling for someone targeting Research Triangle employers or valuing a more flexible path that mixes internships and co-ops with continuous enrollment.

Based on your priority of graduating with substantial industry experience, Georgia Tech is the stronger choice for co-op opportunities overall. NC State remains an excellent option, but Georgia Tech provides the clearer built-in route to a sustained, resume-defining co-op sequence.
