Its environmental science major is interdisciplinary and can be particularly well matched to students interested in land and water resources in the Southeast.

A student aiming toward climate, marine, coastal, forest, or Pacific Northwest environmental work would find UW’s academic ecosystem particularly deep, while someone focused on wetlands, freshwater, tropical and subtropical conservation, or Florida-based fieldwork could have a more targeted experience at UF.
