How does experiential learning compare at Florida State and Northeastern?

The biggest practical difference is that Northeastern builds extended full-time work experience into its academic model through co-op, while Florida State offers substantial hands-on options but expects students to seek and assemble them more independently. At Northeastern, many students alternate academic terms with full-time, typically paid co-op positions, often graduating with multiple significant work placements. At Florida State, internships, research, practica, service learning, and project-based courses are available across majors, but they are not as universally embedded in a single co-op sequence.

Northeastern has the clearer advantage for students who want a formal, employer-connected pathway to professional experience.
