Is Duke or Michigan better for college athletics?

Duke also has strong programs in sports such as women’s basketball, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and golf, with an ACC setting that produces major rivalries and frequent high-level competition.

The difference is scale and emphasis. Michigan feels like a classic major public-university sports ecosystem: huge football traditions, broad participation, and a fan base that follows numerous teams.
