University of Florida vs. UC San Diego: Which college is the better overall choice?

UF tends to feel more traditionally collegiate, with major athletics, school spirit, Greek life, and a town whose rhythm is closely tied to the university. UC San Diego offers exceptional access to STEM research, San Diego internships, and a diverse academic community, but its large campus and college system can require more initiative to build a social circle.

Academically, both provide extensive options and strong faculty.
