Arizona State offers a different kind of fun: Tempe has a lively setting near Phoenix, with restaurants, concerts, pro sports, outdoor activities, and a large nightlife scene. ASU’s size and multiple campuses create enormous variety, but they can also make the social experience feel more self-directed. Students who live near the Tempe campus and deliberately join clubs, intramurals, or Greek life can have an exceptionally active social life, but the community is less centered on one unified campus identity than it is at UF.
